What is Adventure Daycare?
Adventure Daycare is a unique alternative to traditional daycare. Instead of spending the day indoors or at a busy public dog park, your dog will enjoy an enriching outing to a beautiful private property reserved exclusively for our group.
Every adventure is designed to provide plenty of opportunities to sniff, explore, run, play and simply enjoy being a dog - all in a safe, carefully managed environment.
When does Adventure Daycare take place?
Adventure Daycare is a offered every Friday.
Our first Adventure will begin Friday August 28th.
How long is the adventure?
While each outing varies slighly, dogs can expect several hours away from home, including transportation and approximately 60-90 minutes of adventure time at the property.
Where do you go?
Each week we visit carefully select private properties throughout the DMV that offer plenty of room to explore safely.
Locations may include:
Private fenced fields
Wooded trails
Open meadows
Streams
Private lakes
Are these public dog parks?
No.
One of the biggest differences with Adventure Daycare is that we do not use public dog parks.
Each property is reserved privately for our group, allowing your dog to enjoy the space without the unpredictability of unfamiliar dogs or crowded environments.
Are the properties fenced?
Most adventures take place on fully fenced private properties.
Occasionally, we may visit an unfenced property. When we do, only dogs with excellent recall that have been previously approved will attend those adventures.
Safety will always come first when selecting both locations and participants.
Does my dog need reliable recall?
Yes.
Because our adventures focus on giving dogs the freedom to explore safely, all participating dogs should have dependable recall.
For any adventures held on unfenced property, reliable off-leash recall is required.
If you're unsure whether your dog is ready, we can discuss before booking.
Is Adventure Daycare right for every dog?
Adventure Daycare is best suited for social, friendly dogs that enjoy being around other dogs and are comfortable in new environments.
Because we travel together as a group, participating dogs should:

Be comfortable riding in a vehicle in close proximity to other dogs

Enjoy the company of other dogs

Have reliable recall

Be physically able to participate in moderate activity
How many dogs attend?
Groups are intentionally small to provide individualized attention to create a calm, enjoyable experience for every dog.
Do I need to be home for pickup or drop off?
No.
As long as we have access instructions, we can safely pickup and return your dog while you're at work or away.

What should my dog bring?
We'll take care of everything needed for the adventure. Just make sure your dog has eaten (if appropriate for them) has access to water before pickup and is wearing a properly fitted collar or harness.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain usually won't stop an adventure, many dogs love splashing through puddles!
If severe weather makes it unsafe to travel or be outdoors, we'll notify everyone as early as possible and discuss rescheduling or credits.
Can I add Adventure Daycare to a boarding stay?
Absolutely!
Dogs boarding with us on a Friday can join Adventure Daycare for $60 as an add on to their tay. You can find this option in the add on section of the booking app.
It's a great way to make their adventure more exciting.
How do I reserve a spot?
You can reserve a spot by booking through our client portal under the "Daycare" menu
Will I recieve photos?
Absolutely! One of the best parts of Adventure Daycare is seeing your dogs' adventure. We'll share photos from each outing on the portal and instagram so you can follow along and see all the fun they had.
