Hi,
I'm Adriana - the owner of Pawtomac Paradise
This business didn't start as a plan. It started with my dog, Max.
When Max became seriously ill, I was working full-time and trying to keep up with growing medical expenses. Someone suggested I start walking dogs on the side to bring in extra income, so I gave it a shot.
Within 3 months I was walking up to 15 dogs a day.
What started as a way to support Max quickly turned into something much bigger. I realized how many dogs were spending their days in crowded, indoor facilities, and how many pet parents were looking for something more personal, calm and intentional.
That's what led me to create Pawtomac Paradise.
I wanted to create a space where dogs could be dogs, with room to run, fresh air and a structured home-based environment that feels safe and comfortable. A place where I could be present with my own dog, while giving other dogs the same level of care and attention I would want for him.
Today, Pawtomac Paradise is intentionally the opposite of a high volume daycare. I keep groups small and carefully matched so every dog recieves personalized care, attention and supervision. With secure fenced play areas and plenty of space to explore, dogs are able to enjoy a safe and enriching experience.
Although, Max is no longer physically by my side, his legacy lives on with evertything we do. He wasn't just the inspiration behind the business - he shaped the way I care for every dog that walks through our doors.
What started as a way to care for my own dog has grown into a trusted place for hundreds of pet parents across the DMV. It is an honor to continue sharing Max's legacy with every family who trusts us with their best friend.
